Unseeded Saluka Premachandra created the only upset when he beat bottom seed Chandupa Alahakoon in the second round and entered the quarter-finals in the boys under-18 singles event at the Junior National Table Tennis Championship that began at the Bandaragama Indoor Stadium yesterday.
The others to enter the quarters were top seed Senura Silva of Ananda College, Hasitha Udara of Kingswood, Dhanushka Wijesinghe of Kingswood, Thisas Ranchagoda of Royal College, Hiruna Warusawithana of Ananda College, Yashiru Maleesha of Vidyartha College and Sithum Niranga of Loyala International.
The quarter-finals will be played today. (TBR)
