Ships carrying LP gas have docked at the Colombo Port and the tests carried out have confirmed that the samples in the shipment conform to the standards, Consumer Affairs Authrity said yesterday.
Hence the distribution of domestic gas will begin from today, the CAA stated.
The conditions to be followed by the gas companies are:
* Not to release previously imported stocks.
* To Include standard percentage of Mercaptan to identify the smell of gas.
* Sample check one of every 100 cylinders and send the serial numbers to the CAA.
