Sebs and Cambrians draw match

The 71st Battle of the Golds cricket match between Prince of Wales’ College and St. Sebastian’s College ended in a tame draw at the De Soysa Stadium Moratuwa yesterday.

The Cambrians resuming day two on 53 for three were bowled out for 173 in reply to the Sebs total of 254 conceding an 83-run lead. Prince of Wales vice captain Pasindu Pathum played a valiant knock of 54 while player of the match Kalana Sandeepa claimed 4 for 30.

St Sebastian’s declared at 167 for two in their second essay with half centuries from Yashan Avishka (67) and skipper Sukitha Prasanna (52 notout). The Cambrians were 17 for no loss at stumps.
