Testing time for CH against favoured Kandy SC

30 January, 2022

Kandy SC will host CH and FC in their first round inter club league rugby match at Nittawela today.

Kandy in their first game beat Air Force last week at Ratmalana while CH and FC did not take the field after some of their players tested positive for Covid 19 and had their match against Police SC postponed.

Having put on a splendid show in their opener, Kandy are firm favourites to win today as they sport a well balanced team while also possessing a sound set of forwards who are second to none.

With the match marking their first outing, CH and FC will come under heavy scrutiny.

They too sport a hardy and exciting set of players and the result of today’s contest will enable them to figure out how they’ll be able to progress for the rest of the season.

They are coached by Rohitha Rajapaksa while former Sri Lanka play-maker and captain Fazil Marija is the coach of Kandy SC.
