A doctrine to survive

6 March, 2022

Doctrine of Survive by Chanaka Withanage, is a guide to live life meaningfully in the 21st century.

As Withanage explains, the 21st century has become more complicated and it is difficult to find anyone who would lead a peaceful life.

Wrong decisions can impact your entire life and cause a ripple effect on those close to you.

Therefore, his book tackles this crucial question of existence vs living, and examines what is of value in the real world.

“A leader becomes famous beyond national borders when he or she possesses the right qualities. Leadership requires a close study of human behaviour and no amount of teaching can fully help a person to become a good leader.

Leadership always needs to be learnt through practical application.

It needs initiative and automatically creates followers,” Withanage said.

A leader takes on a journey with others and collective achievement is the vision of a leader.

Doctrine of Survive explains the qualities that leaders should possess and how they are different to a ‘boss’.

“The leader -follower relationship depends on the power of the leader to be trusted by his followers,” Withanage added.

The book describes leadership traits, skills and vision and would be useful for those aspiring to become leaders.

It also predicts what would become of people if current trends continue and glimpses into the future and impact of human activities.

“I have been researching for many years to collect this data.

“Now that I have engineered this book, it is up to the others to take advantage from it and gain knowledge.

“Children are like diamonds in the rough. With a little polish, they will shine brightly.

“This book will help motivate them to achieve their life’s aspirations,” he said.
