Torching buses; police seek public assistance

Police seek public assistance to apprehend the suspects involved in setting fire to two buses and damaging public property during the mass protest near the President’s private residence at Mirihana on March 31.

The Police have appealed to the public to provide any information regarding the persons. A sketch of one of the suspects has been developed based on footage obtained from a CCTV camera at the scene. Any information on the suspects involved in the incident can be provided to the Superintendent of Police in charge of probes – 071 859 1755 / 071 859 4929 or the Criminal Investigation Department on 011 244 4265.
