Litro chief upbeat about gas

30 July, 2022

About 140,000 Litro gas cylinders are distributed countrywide daily and the shortage of Litro gas would be resolved by the end of this month, Chairman, Litro Gas Company, Muditha Peiris said. “There will be no queues for gas thereafter and I say this with responsibility,” he told the Sunday Observer.

Peiris said 3,800 metric tons of gas are now being unloaded from a ship. Several ships with gas are due to arrive in Sri Lanka during the next few days. About 700,000 empty gas cylinders will be imported to meet the demand of Sri Lankan consumers, he added.
