The Education Ministry has extended the closing date of accepting applications to admit Grade One students to Government schools for the year 2023 following requests by a large number of parents. The deadline has been extended till August 15, 2022. The earlier deadline was to end on August 1, this year.
Education Ministry Secretary M.N. Ranasinghe in a special circular has informed Provincial Directors of Education countrywide on the new deadline.
