State Tourism Minister Diana Gamage, with US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie Chung and Coordinating Secretary to the State Tourism Ministry, Dr. Arosha Fernando
US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie Chung paid a courtesy call on new State Tourism Minister Diana Gamage recently and pledged the fullest support from USA to develop the tourism sector in Sri Lanka.
Earlier Diana Gamage was the State Transport Minister, and the Registrar of Motor Vehicles (RMV), Sri Lanka Transport Board (commonly known as CTB), National Transport Medical Institute (NTMI) and Lakdiva Engineering was under her purview.
A number of other Embassies and High Commissions too has sent congratulatory messages to the newly appointed State Minister extending their support to develop this important sector of Sri Lanka, especially in this crucial economic downturn.
