The Sri Lankan beauty care industry received a boost when Thekshani Kariyawasam won a gold medal at the Hair and World Championships in France.

This is the first time such an award has been won by a Sri Lankan from the beauty care industry. Over 5,000 competitors from 69 countries took part.
