Black Adam review:

Dwayne Johnson - A superhero to watch out for

30 October, 2022

DC Black Adam premiered on October 21 screening at leading cinemas globally. It stars Dwayne Johnson, as Black Adam the mystical superhero from centuries who is back to save his city of origin, the present-day Kahndaq from invaders.

The current-day Black Adam has a unique form of justice, full of range and is challenged by the Justice Society, consisting of Hawkman, Dr Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone. The Justice Society starts to end the Black Adam and put him to rest, Ishmael Gregor / Sabbac- the last descendant of King Ahk-Ton inherits the powers of Legions of Hell to terrorise Kahndaq.

It is great to watch a DC movie with so much colour after a long time, even though Johnson playing Black Adam was a choice in question, he nailed it. Besides him, Dr Fate starring Pierce Brosnan was excellent and plays a significant role. The BGM is fantastic and it gives a slight resemblance to the Moon knight theme.

Superman Cameo

This movie in recent DC comics is solid, with great action scenes, good CGI and great acting. The most interesting is a cameo by superman and that few minutes of screen time was so precious. Hopefully, the writers will do a crossover with the kids/superheroes of Shazam.

Even though critics had a field day in saying how bad it is, it’s one of the best DC movies in recent times. A theatre watch is a must. A rating of three-fifths for Dwayne’s acting and proving that he can carry off a superhero role. Dr Fate is brilliant as Pierce did justice to the role, the visuals are amazing and the cast supported the main character very well.
