Former cricketer and billiards player M.S. Shaharwadi passed off on Friday in Dubai while on a holiday trip and his Janaza took place on Saturday.
He was a top cricketer to come out of Zahira College where he led the side and later played and led Moors Cricket Club excelling as an all-rounder.
In billiards he won the Lanka Plate championship and represented Sri Lanka in the World Cup in 1975.
Shaharwadi will be remembered as a legend in the green blazer who tantalized opponents with his fine moves at Lanka Plate events and also for the country.
