Kingswood Grassroots Rugby will be organizing a junior rugby tournament for Under-12 players on December 3 from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm at the Bogambara Stadium.
Most of the rugby-playing schools in Kandy with schools from Matale, Dambulla and Thalathuoya have confirmed to field teams for this tournament.
The organizers are expecting to have 15 teams. Kingswood College has a rich history in rugby as the first to play this game and have produced top class players, coaches and referees.
Kingswood Grassroots Rugby was introduced in 2017 by a few Kingswood rugby players to support and develop Kingswood College rugby at the junior level.
The motive is to give a hand to junior rugby, mainly the U-12 and below age categories to build quality skillful rugby players with discipline and a proper educational background.
