Twelve Sri Lankan investors have pledged nearly USD 100 million to set up a purpose-built pharmaceutical manufacturing zone in Oyamaduwa.

The Ministry of Health signed forward buying agreements for five years with 12 Sri Lankan pharmaceutical and health component manufacturing companies in Colombo who will set up factories at the Oyamaduwa Pharmaceutical manufacturing zone in Anuradhapura.

The locally manufactured pharma products will be available in Sri Lanka from 2025.
