Modern Pentathlon Federation of Sri Lanka (MPFSL) successfully conducted a UIPM CCP level 1 coaching programme which concluded on Friday.
Carina Vicente (POR) of UIPM led the programme that was conducted very successfully according to the president of MPFSL Nishantha Piyasena.
UIPM was the main sponsor of this programme and Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts partnered with MPFSL as the official hotel partner while the Department of Sports Development was co-sponsor.
The 15 energetic coaches across the country followed the programme.
Piyasena further added the vision of MPFSL is to expand its operations by adding more coaches to the Modern Pentathlon concept in Sri Lanka in order to establish a strong coaching platform for young athletes.
“We hope this programme will provide a strong boost to the vision of MPFSL,” said Piyasena, a former senior official of the NOC and the National Cycling Federation.
