Sala Enterprises honoured for outstanding contribution to ICT industry

Sala Enterprises was honoured by FITIS for its 30-year contribution to the overall development of the Information and Communication Technology industry in Sri Lanka.

Sala Enterprises was presented this award at the first ever technology channel conference organised by the Federation of Information Technology (FITIS) at Shangri La Colombo recently.

The objective of the event was to recognise the significant contribution to the ICT industry by ICT companies and to felicitate the companies who contributed significantly to the industry for over 25 years. Another was to prepare the ICT infrastructure members and industry for the current economic conditions and to see how further the industry could be developed.

The visionary who is steering Sala Enterprises to great heights is its Managing Director Chinthaka Wijewickrama, who not only shapes the corporate policy of the company but also serves as the think tank, and the industrious spokesman for the complete range of products marketed by Sala.

Wijewickrama said that it is a pleasure to be appreciated by the industry for our company’s contribution to the development of the information and communication technology industry for about three decades.He also said that this award is a great encouragement for our future journey of the company.

It pioneered the introduction of the GPS Navigation, tri lingual key board, pen drive, electronic dictionary in Sinhala/ Tamil/ English, ADSL modems and routers, IOT and AI products. Today Sala Enterprises represents several leading brands of computer peripherals.

Sala aims to provide excellent customer service and technical expertise in project consultancy and implementation of internet communication solutions and every member of the organisation is inspired to perform well beyond the call of duty, a company spokesman said.
