Amana Takaful, Hayleys Group, LOLC and Stafford Motors advanced to the semi-finals in the MCA ‘E’ division 25-Over League Tournament 2023 by winning their quarter-finals played on January 28 and 29.
Weekend’s batting honours went to Hayleys Group ‘B’ opening batsman, Dimantha Kalugalage, who banged 109 runs off 71 balls inclusive of six sixes and seven fours against Virtusa.
The bowling honours were bagged by Bawantha Jayasinghe from Ceylinco General Insurance who captured 5 for 34 against LOLC. Jayasinghe top scored for Ceylinco Insurance with a gutsy 43-runs, but his all round effort went in vain as they lost to LOLC in the last ball by two wickets.
