The officials of the Commission to Investigate Bribery and Corruption have arrested a teacher of a major school in Kurunegala town while attempting to take bribe of around LKR 300,000 to enroll a student in the school.
It is reported that the person arrested is the sectional head of the Arts (Advanced Level) section of the school.
The suspected teacher has demanded Rs. three hundred thousand from the student's father to enroll a student to the A/L section.
The student's father has then made a complaint to the Bribery Commission regarding this matter.
