The Education Ministry has taken measures to fill the vacancies in the Teachers’ Service in the National and Provincial schools promptly.
Accounting, applications are being called from the existing graduates already serving in the state service.
Graduates, who are less than 40 years serving in the state service can apply for these vacancies.
Education Minister Dr. Susil Premajayantha said that it has been planned to fill those vacancies promptly aiming to deploy these new teachers to school system by the commencement of the first school term in March 2023.
Under this recruitment examinations will be held in due course both in the national and provincial base. Teachers to provincial schools will be selected by the provincial recruitment exams while that of national schools will be selected by the exams conducted nationwide.
