Over 5,500 devotees and religious dignitaries from Sri Lanka and India flocked to St. Anthony’s church in Kachchativu for the annual feast which concluded yesterday. There were 70 boats from India with 2,400 people and 2,900 people from Sri Lanka.
More than 80 priests and nuns from both countries also participated. The festival started with the flag-hoisting ceremony on Friday followed by the procession. Pic: Gayan Pushpika
