Education Minister Dr. Susil Premajayantha said that the evaluation of A-Level answer sheets will begin in next two weeks.
The Minister also stated that the Treasury has agreed to give some additional allowance relating to the answer script evaluation.
He made these remarks yesterday (28) while participating in a press conference held at the Education Ministry auditorium.
The Minister added that although the evaluation of A-level answer sheets has been delayed for some time, the A-Level practical tests have already been started and therefore there will not be much delay in the release of A-Level results.
The Minister further said that the Education Ministry is hopefully looking forward to conduct the Ordinary Level Examination on the scheduled days under any circumstances.
“Necessary steps are being taken to conduct the Ordinary Level Examination without any delay as scheduled. Besides, from the year 2024, it is expected to hold The Advanced Level and Ordinary Level Examinations in the months of August and December respectively as in the previous years”.
The Minister also said that steps will be taken to provide solutions to the problems that have arisen regarding the course fees of engineering students of National Engineering Technology Institute, Katunayake.
