The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) yesterday issued a level one landslide warning for several areas in three districts.
The landslide warning was issued for some areas in Badulla, Kegalle and Matara districts. The NBRO said that since rains have exceeded 75 mm in the said areas in the last 24 hours, people residing in such areas should be watchful about possible landslides, rock falls and flooding.
The areas mentioned by the NBRO are Haldummulla and Passara Divisional Secretariat Division and surrounding areas in Badulla.
Kegalle Divisional Secretariat Division and surrounding areas.
In Matara Kotapola and Pasgoda Divisional Secretariat division and surrounding areas.
