President leaves to England for the coronation of King Charles III

President Ranil Wickramasinghe left the Katunayake Airport today early morning (04 May) for England to attend the coronation ceremony of King Charles III.

Delegation of eight is to accompany the President on the visit. The group have left for Dubai at 03.15 this morning on Emirates flight EK-649.The group will leave for England on another flight from Dubai.

The coronation of King Charles III is scheduled to take place on Saturday (06 May) at Westminster Abbey. King Charles III is being crowned as the King of England six months after the passing of his mother Queen Elizabeth II, who was the longest reigning monarch of the country. The Ceremony will see His Majesty King Charles III will be crowned alongside The Queen Consort.
