35 suspects have been arrested in a special search operation covering the Borella police region which was conducted yesterday (11). While twelve suspects were arrested for the possession of illegal substances such as heroin, Ice, cannabis and cannabis mixed sedatives, two suspects who were in possession of 02 swords, two suspects on open warrants and 19 suspects were also arrested for questioning on suspicion.
At the same time, the police said that Rs. 2,675,440 suspected to have been earned from heroin trafficking were found in the possession of a suspect arrested with heroin and another Rs. 215,000 suspected to have been earned from Ice drug trafficking were found in the custody of one suspect arrested with Ice.
All suspects are to be produced before the Magistrate’s Courts of Hulftsdorp and Maligakanda today (12).
