Public Security Minister Tiran Alles participated in an observation tour of the Bandaranaike International Airport yesterday (17).
Tiran Alles, who inspected the Immigration Officers’ windows set up at the passenger arrival terminal and the departure terminal, discussed the ground plan to provide efficient and effective service to passengers as well as immigration services in accordance with other international airport conditions.
The establishment of new e-gate counters was also brought to the attention of Minister Tiran Alles. The Minister gave instructions to set up a new CCTV camera control center.
The minister also explained that this camera system will be able to analyze data using new technical software.
Airport and Aviation Services Company Chairman retired Major General G.A. Chandrasiri, Public Security Ministry Secretary Vianney Gunathilaka, Immigration Department Controller General Harsha Ilukpitiya and airport officials participated in this observation tour.
