Litro Gas Lanka Ltd, one of the two Liquefied Petroleum (LP) Gas suppliers in the country, announced a price hike yesterday (4) for domestic LP Gas cylinders.
The price revision was effective from midnight yesterday (4).
Accordingly, the price of a 12.5kg domestic LP Gas cylinder increased by Rs.145 and the new price is Rs. 3,127. The prices of 5 kg and 2.5kg LPG cylnders have also been increased by Rs. 58 and Rs. 26 respectively and the new prices are Rs. 1,256 and Rs. 587. Speaking at a press conference held yesterday regarding the price hike, Litro Gas Chairman Muditha Peiris said that the prices of domestic LPG cylinders of Litro Gas had to be increased in keeping with the LPG price increase in the world market.
The new prices are as follows:
* 12.5kg cylinder increased by Rs.145 (New price – Rs. 3,127)
* 5kg cylinder increased by Rs. 58 (New price – Rs.1,256)
* 2.3kg cylinder increased by Rs. 26 (New price – Rs. 587)
