Over 160,000 qualify for university

Commissioner General of Examinations Amit Jayasundara said that 166,938 students have qualified for university admission with the results of the Advanced Level Examination 2022 (2023).

The Advanced Level exam results were released yesterday (4) and the results can be checked through the official websites www.doenets.lk or www.results.exams.gov.lk.

This year, 263,933 applicants appeared for the Advanced Level Examination and the results of 84 were withheld due to various reasons. Of the 166,938 who qualified for university admission, 149,487 were school applicants while the balance 17,451 were private applicants.

The Examinations Department states that 96,995 applicants who appeared for the AL Examination this year did not qualify for university admission.

With the GCE Advanced Level Examination 2022 (2023) results issued yesterday the island first rank in the Biology stream was obtained by Pramodi Munasinghe of Sujatha Vidyalaya Matara, while Maneth Banula Perera of Royal College Colombo obtained the island first rand in the Physical Science Stream.

Island Best in Commerce Stream Kavidini Dilsarani Tharushika of Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, Colombo.

Island Best in Engineering Technology Stream Samuditha Nayanapriya of Richmond College, Galle.

Island first rank in IT Stream Ruvini Ahinsa Wickramaratne of Devi Balika Vidyalaya.

Within 24 hours from the time of release of the results, all school and private applicants can download and view a result sheet by entering the National Identity Card number by visiting the link http://onlineexams.gov.lk/eic.

By visiting this website all the principals can also download the school exam result documents and get a printed copy using the user name and password given to them. All Provincial Education Directors and Zonal Directors can download the results of all schools in their province or region from the link http://onlineexams.gov.lk/onlineapps/index.php/welcome/onlineresults using the provided username and password.

If only the candidates who appeared for the Advanced Level Examination 2022 (2023) want to appear for the Advanced Level Examination 2023 again, they can apply for it from September 11 to 16 through the link https://onlineexams.gov.lk/eic.

Applications can be submitted from Septhember 7 to 16th through the link https://onlineexams.gov.lk/eic for the re-survey of results.
