BOC unveils new investment product

The Bank of Ceylon’s (BOC) newest investment product ‘BOC Flexi Investor’, goal-based investment account was launched recently enabling customers to reach their short to long term goals and aspirations in the way they desire by making a good use of their hard earned money.

Whether it’s securing funds for higher education, planning dream vacations, organising the perfect wedding, buying a vehicle, saving for children’s future, or goals of any sort, BOC Flexi Investor is there to make it a reality, tailored to the income pattern of the customer.

BOC Flexi Investor offers flexibility to set investment plans based on the goal, tenure and the affordability. Attractive rates, and wide range of options help customers to achieve their goals faster. Transaction tracking is made available via digital channels to trace the history conveniently. Any variations from the original plan would not result in any penalties.

Sri Lankan residents and non-residents, employed abroad (excluding emigrants) above 18 years of age are eligible to open this investment account with the prerequisite being a BOC account holder of Savings or Current account maintained in LKR as the Source Account.

Flexi Investor ensures a seamless online experience in setting up investment plans using user-friendly tools such as “Investment Calculator”. It gives the ability to create own deposit build-up plan based on the goal and affordability. Customers can choose to make lump-sum deposits and/or monthly installments to reach their goals and fulfill their desires.

BOC Flexi Investor account can be created with few simple steps. First, you need to set your desired goal with an amount in multiples of Rs. 100,000 up to Rs. 10,000,000. Thereafter, you can choose the desired period to achieve your goal either in ‘Months’ (12 to 60 months) or in ‘Days’ (90 to 365 days). Preferable Interest Payment option (either fixed Interest Rate or floating Interest Rate) can be selected and the initial request can be submitted through “BOC Apply Online” facility in the Bank’s website.
