Jewels 2023, a three-day event will be held at the Hotel Taj Samudra, Colombo from December 15-17.
The National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) has been the main collaborator of the Jewels since 2012.
This is one of the most significant events in the annual activities calendar of the Gemmologists Association of Sri Lanka (GASL).
GASL is a founder member of the Organisation of Professional Association (OPA) of Sri Lanka, GASL has successfully conducted the Jewels Exhibition and Competitions giving immense benefits to the Gem and Jewelry Trade in Sri Lanka over a decade.
GASL has introduced a suitable theme for the event – “Traditional Jewellery of Sri Lanka”.
NGJA, the key government institute responsible for the development of the Gem and Jewellery industry in Sri Lanka, provides numerous assistances for the success of the event. Export Development Board (EDB) also provides valuable services by encouraging potential exporters of Gems and Jewellery to participate in this event. Sri Lanka Tourism will support the event by giving publicity among foreign tourists who are interested in Gem and Jewellery.
The captivating showcase will comprise 36 stalls, with eight designated as premium stalls, thoughtfully designed for a two-sided open presentation.
A a dedicated SME pavilion will be the focal point of the exhibition. This distinctive space will offer a platform to spotlight the offerings of small and medium-sized enterprises.
