Hameed Al Hussainie and Zahira entered the final of the Sri Lanka schools under 18 football tournament for the Renown President’s Trophy.
Hameed Al Hussainie beat St. Patrick’s College by 5 goals to 2 in one semi-final played at the Sugathadasa Stadium yesterday.
AFM Adham, MR Alhiq, AFM Arkam, SM Hassan and ZHM Ziard scored the goals for Hameed Al Hussainie.
A. Abiram and C. Siyam scored for St. Patrick’s College.
Zahira scored a hard fought 1-0 victory over St. Joseph’s College in the other semi-final.
Abdul Azeez scored the winning goal for Zahira.
The date for the final has not been finalized.
