Sampath Bank bagged the Division Two Mercantile football league championship that was organized and conducted by the Mercantile Football Association of Sri Lanka.
Sampath Bank beat teams in the mould of HNB, NOLIMIT, WNS Global Services, LOLC and finished the first-round at the top of the group stage.
In the second round Sampath Bank went further and beat HNB, AMANA BANK and HNB Assurance while making sure to keep their unbeaten record intact to become the overall and undisputed champions of the Division.
In the process Sampath Bank earned a well deserved promotion to the Division One championships for 2024.
