Mujjib Hussain receiving trophy and cash prize from chief guest and former captain of Zahira College MY Badurdeen
The Zahira College Colombo Batch of 2000 held the fifth Battle of the Millennium 10 a side five overs soft ball cricket tournament with their batch mates at the Shalika Ground, Colombo recently.
Eight teams, Angora Lions, Baghdad Bulls, Cordova Kings, Istanbul Warriors, Cairo Challengers, Dhaka Riders, Delhi Royals and Kabul Lions contested the matches and Kabul Lions team beat Baghdad Bulls team in the final.
Captain of the champion team Mujjib Hussain received the trophy and cash prize from chief guest former captain of Zahira College MY Badurdeen.
Also runners up team captain Irfan Hussain, Best Bowler Abdul Rahman (Kabul Lions), Best Batsman Salman Faris (Baghdad Bulls), Man of the Tournament Salman Farris (Baghdad Bulls) and Man of the Final Mujjib Hussain (Kabul Lions) received awards.
Batch of 2000 Past President Shafraz Salley, President Mohamed Iqbal, Secretary Hazmil Hamdoon, Treasurer Fariz Nilamdeen and members of the batch of 2000 were also present.
