The 11th edition of Sri Lanka’s largest travel and tourism fair, “Sancharaka Udawa 2024” concluded yesterday at BMICH.

The two-day event was organised by the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) and supported by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB).

The event was inaugurated by SLTPB Chairman Chalaka Gajabahu on Friday.

The trade fair offered a platform for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-customer (B2C), supporting all small, medium and large travel players to make their appearance.

The platform allowed around 170 exhibitors to market their products, while providing an opportunity to engage with Government authorities as well as build lasting connections with the target markets to grasp the most current layout of the tourism industry.

This year’s edition saw the participation of over 10,000 visitors and included participants from outbound tourism sectors.

The event provided networking opportunities for industry newcomers and veterans, along with an award ceremony recognizing the Best Stall Creations and concluded with a celebratory gathering.
