Our school recently had an important event: the prize giving at the Peter De Abrew Memorial Hall. I got the prize for Tamil writing. On that day, I went to school with my father and mother.
The hall was decorated very nicely. Our teachers were beautifully dressed and very busy with the arrangements. The school band welcomed the chief guest.
A lot of students received prizes for different subjects and best results. I got my prize from our Principal. The chief guest gave an inspiring speech. She congratulated all the prize winners.
I felt very proud of my school on that day.
