Ambalangoda Divisional Secretariat division emerged men’s and women’s champions in the Galle district inter-divisional athletics meet held at the Galle District Sports Development Centre Stadium at Baddegama.
More than 500 sportsmen and women participated in this athletics event representing 22 divisional secretariat divisions of the Galle district.
Ayesh Mihiranga (Hikkaduwa) and Maleesha Manohari (Ambalangoda) were awarded as the best performers of the Games.
In addition to the Open women’s and men’s divisions, competitions were also held in level 2 (under-14) boys and girls. Sachin Shamalka (Bentota) and H.G. Hasaral Himalshi (Ambalangoda) were awarded as the most talented performers in level 2.
