Is there a perfect role model for today’s girls in our society? Is there an ideal personality for children to follow? Ask your own conscience. If your answer is ‘No’. It is regrettable.

Anyway, needles to curse the darkness because we can light a candle to bring rays of light. Popular musician Mario Ananda, going beyond the scope of a musician, has left no stone unturned to broaden the horizon of our new generation. He is not searching for gems in our society. Honestly, Mario is bringing gems out of the stones. This is how he brings light for our new generation.

Emma came to be known as an iconic actress with her well famous character Hermione Grange in Harry Potter tele series. Winning the Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actor, Emma became a star in billions of hearts. Since the completion of the eight-film series, Emma has shown her versatility as a performer with her first screen roles, including the 2011 Golden Globe–nominated “My Week with Marilyn” and the 2012 award-winning coming-of-age film “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” for which Emma picked up the People’s Choice Award for Favourite Dramatic Movie Actor and Best Supporting Actor Award at the San Diego Film Critics Society Awards for her role.

Voice for the voiceless

Emma, who stole our hearts as an actress, has become a voice for the voiceless in the world. She had been appointed UN Women Goodwill Ambassador in July 2014. Moreover, she is an advocate for UN Women’s HeForShe campaign in promoting gender equality.

Realizing that girls in most countries have been deprived of a proper education, she has visited countries such as Bangladesh and Zambia as part of her humanitarian efforts to uplift their education system. As a tribute for her priceless service for women and children, Mario is going to create a musical video with children with artistic skills.

This musical video will feature children drawing pictures of Emma Watson. This is not only a tribute song but also a rainbow bridge connecting our children with the international arena. “Don’t think whether we can approach Emma through this song or not because our efforts will not be in vain,” said Mario.

Creations

If you are an artist between 10 and 20 years old, you can email your creations via the following email address, [email protected].

No matter what your medium is, you can submit your creations on or before July 30. Let your thoughts and feelings flow on the canvas freely and let your thousands of thoughts turn into ink. It can be a simple pencil sketch on a stamp or a drawing on an A-4 sheet. As noted by Mario, it is Dr. Asanka Vithanage who inspired him to create the novel song. ‘’ I am grateful to my mother, father, sister, the Lake House team and everyone who support me,” said Mario.
