Sri Lanka badminton referee Sanjeewa Wijesekara will leave today (18) to officiate at the Kotak India Junior International Badminton series which will commence from tomorrow in Hyderabad, India
Players from Malaysia, Mongolia, India, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka will contest the tournament while the experienced Wijesekara will be the only referee from the island to officiate.
Wijesekara is a qualified Asian Badminton accredited referee who officiated at International tournaments in Mongolia, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka
He was one of the key officials in Sri Lanka to conduct badminton umpires’ workshops with vast experience as an umpire and referee.
