More than 1,000 employees of Ceylinco Life congregated at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo recently to participate in the annual sports festival of Sri Lanka’s life insurance market leader and after a closely contested event AS Group became the winners while PK Group were the runners-up.
The best male athlete for 2024 was RM Farzath of the ‘NS/KS’ Group while the best female athlete was GKS Madhuwanthi of the PK Group.
The track and field events were preceded by cricket, volleyball and netball tournaments that were conducted over several days in August.
The men’s cricket tournament was won by the AS group and the women’s tournament by the PK Group.
The ST Group was the winner of the volleyball tournament while the netball tournament was won by PK Group.
