Thunder halts Army-Police game

The inter club League rugby encounter between Army SC and Police SC was halted after 40 minutes of play due to have rain, thunder and lightning at Panagoda yesterday.

Army SC was leading the proceedings 8-5 when the skies opened.

They scored a try through Ashan Bandara who also put over a penalty for their eight points.

Police SC scored a try through Deshan Fernando that went unconverted.

According to a tournament official the match could be continued today.
