St. Joseph Vaz trounce St. Anthony’s by 10 wickets

St. Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa trounced their traditional rivals St. Anthony’s College, Wattala by 10 wickets in their second Battle of the Golden Blues Inter-School Big Match, which concluded at the P. Sara Oval in Colombo yesterday.

St. Joseph Vaz, resuming from their overnight score of 89 for five, went on to make 123 runs, as they built up a first innings lead of 44 runs.

The Antonians were skittle out for 89 in their second innings and St. Joseph Vaz knocked off the required runs with more than a session to spare. (YK)
