The MSC Mariella, one of the largest container vessels in the world, made a call at Colombo Port on April 28. The colossal vessel docked at the Colombo East Container Terminal, marking a milestone in Sri Lanka’s maritime history.
The MSC Mariella, was built in 2023. Sailing under the flag of Liberia, the vessel measures an impressive 399.90 metres in length and 61.30 metres in width. With a carrying capacity of 240,739 tonnes, the MSC Mariella is one of the largest and most sophisticated ships to call at the Colombo Port.
