People’s Insurance appoints Dulinda Perera to its Board

People’s Insurance PLC appointed Dulinda Perera as a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director to its Board, on March 4. Perera holds an MBA from the University of the West of Scotland and a BSc (Hons) in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Moratuwa.

He is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA – CIMA UK), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM – CIM UK), and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Professional Managers (MCPM – CPM Sri Lanka).

Perera is a seasoned entrepreneur and strategic consultant, bringing with him more than a decade of leadership and operational experience. As the Founder and CEO of IKON Group of Companies, he has earned a reputation for steering businesses towards digital excellence and brand elevation, both locally and internationally.

He is widely recognised for his expertise in branding, digital transformation, and finance. Throughout his career, Perera has served as a consultant to several local and global organizations, contributing significantly to their growth and innovation agendas. His visionary leadership in brand growth hacking and media integration strategies has made him a valuable asset on numerous corporate boards in both the private and public sectors.

Perera is also an academic contributor and a recognised lecturer in Accounting, Finance, and Risk Management, sharing his knowledge through leading academic institutions and professional programs.

He holds several key positions including Chief Marketing Officer at Northlark (Pte) Ltd, Chairman/Non-Executive Non-Independent Director at People’s Micro Commerce Limited, Non-Executive Non-Independent Director at People’s Leasing and Finance PLC and Non-Executive Independent Director at Hotel Developers Lanka Ltd, the owning company of Hilton Colombo.
