Cargills will illuminate the Bauddhaloka Mawatha Vesak Zone 2025 for the second consecutive year.

Organised annually by the All-Ceylon Buddhist Congress (ACBC), this event, dedicated to the spirit of Vesak, will take place from May 12 to May 14, from 6 p.m. along Bauddhaloka Mawatha in Colombo.

Over 75 Vesak lanterns will light up the area this year, with team members from the Cargills Group across the country uniting to craft intricately designed lanterns, showcasing their creativity and teamwork to add a vibrant touch to the occasion. In addition, Cargills teams will participate in Bakthi Gee performances, contributing to a soulful atmosphere that reflects Sri Lanka’s cultural and spiritual traditions.

The Vesak Zone will also feature a variety of food and beverage stalls, offering delightful treats, including a Magic ice cream dansal, refreshing Kist fruit drinks, Kotmale dairy products and other refreshments for visitors.
