Aththrantha Phase 3 empowers students on cyber safety

Project Aththrantha Phase 3, a Cyber Crime and Safety Awareness Program, was conducted on April 25, 2025, at SLIIT University, Malabe. Organized in collaboration with the Cyber Security Department of SLIIT and the National Child Protection Authority, the initiative aimed to raise awareness among youth on the critical importance of cyber safety.

The session specifically targeted Advanced Level ICT students from various schools across the island. It focused on topics such as cyber security fundamentals, cybercrime laws in Sri Lanka, preventive safety measures, and real-life case studies. Through interactive discussions and presentations, students were equipped with practical knowledge to navigate the digital world more responsibly and securely.

The event commenced at 8.30 a.m. and saw active participation from students and educators, reflecting the growing need for cyber awareness in an increasing digital era. Project Aththrantha Phase 3 marks another milestone in empowering the younger generation to become informed and vigilant digital citizens.
