84 teams for U-15 Division One Cricket Tourney

The Under-15 Division One Inter-Schools Cricket Tournament conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association will start later this month with the participation of 82 teams in 14 groups.

The last year Division Two champions Lyceum, Wattala and the runners-up Sri Sumangala National School, Wariyapola have been promoted to this tournament.

32 teams will qualify to play in the second round, which will be conducted on a knock-out basis.

The teams:

Group ‘A’: President’s College, Maharagama, Wesley ‘A’, Sri Dharmaloka, Kelaniya, Christ King, Ja-Ela, Nalanda ‘A’ and St. Anthony’s, Wattala.

Group ‘B’: De La Salle, St. Peter’s ‘A’, Ananda Sastralaya, Kotte, St. Benedict’s ‘A’, S. Thomas’, Mount Lavinia and Dharmapala, Kottawa.

Group ‘C’: C. W. W. Kannangara MV, Ananda ‘A’, S. De S. Jayasinghe MMV, Dehiwala, St. John’s, Nugegoda, Royal ‘A’ and D. S. Senanayake ‘A’.

Group ‘D’: Carey, Thurstan ‘A’, Mahanama ‘A’, St. Sebastian’s, Moratuwa ‘A’, Dharmapala, Pannipitiya and St. Thomas’, Kotte.

Group ‘E’: President’s College, Kotte, Isipathana ‘A’, Asoka Vidyalaya, Colombo, St. Joseph’s ‘A’, Lumbini and Sri Jayewardenepura MV, Kotte.

Group ‘F’: Harischandra National School, Negombo, De Mazenod ‘A’, Gurukula, Kelaniya, Piliyandala Central, St. Joseph Vaz, Wennappuwa and Bandaranayake MMV, Gampaha.

Group ‘G’: St. Mary’s, Chilaw, Sri Pangnananda MV, Raddoluwa, Sandalanka Central, St. Peter’s, Negombo, Maliyadeva, Kurunegala and Sri Sumangala National School, Wariyapola.

Group ‘H’: Kegalu Vidyalaya, Ibbagamuwa Central, St. Aloysius’, Ratnapura, St. Anthony’s, Kandy, Royal, Polonnaruwa and St. Anne’s, Kurunegala.

Group ‘J’: St. Thomas’, Matale, Trinity ‘A’, St. Mary’s, Kegalle, Kingswood, Maris Stella, Negombo and St. Xavier’s, Marawila.

Group ‘K’: Galahitiyawa Central, Ganemulla, Lyceum, Wattala, Vidyartha, Maliyadeva Model School, Kurunegala, St. Sylvester’s, Kandy and Dharmaraja.

Group ‘L’: Holy Cross, Kalutara, Kalutara Vidyalaya, Royal, Panadura, Wadduwa Central, Sri Sumangala, Panadura and Karandeniya Central.

Group ‘M’: St. John’s, Panadura, P. De S. Kularathna College, Ambalangoda, Tissa Central, Kalutara, Prince of Wales ‘A’, Devapathiraja, Rathgama and Moratu Vidyalaya.

Group ‘N’: Richmond, Rahula, Matara, Meepawala Amarasuriya College, Mahinda, Dharmasoka, Ambalangoda and Revatha College, Balapitiya.

Group ‘P’: Vidyaloka, Galle, St. Servatius, Matara, Debarawewa National School, St. Thomas’, Matara, St. Aloysius’ Galle and Sri Devananda, Ambalangoda.
