Hatton National Bank (HNB) PLC, has captured a number of merchants through mini POS (Point-of-Sale) devices, marking a milestone in its support of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Sri Lanka.

The mini POS devices, which are compact and cost-effective, are specifically designed to meet the needs of SMEs, enabling them to process digital payments seamlessly. Through this technology adoption, small businesses can enhance customer convenience, streamline operations, and strengthen their competitive position in today’s dynamic market.

“At HNB, we believe that empowering small businesses is essential for driving economic growth and creating sustainable opportunities,” said HNB Head of Cards Gauthami Niranjan. “By introducing this solution, we are enabling SMEs to transition to digital platforms, enhancing their competitiveness and resilience in a rapidly evolving marketplace. This milestone reinforces our commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs and advancing a cashless economy,” she said.
