Alumex PLC, a manufacturer of aluminium extrusion products, has reaffirmed its commitment to driving excellence in supply chain management by partnering with the Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM).
This strategic collaboration was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed recently by Managing Director, Alumex, Pramuk Dediwela, alongside key industry leaders including President, ISMM, Jayantha Gallehewa and senior representatives of Unilever Sri Lanka, Nestlé Lanka, Hayleys Advantis, Hemas Manufacturing and Ceylon Agro Industries (Prima Group).
The event was also attended by ISMM’s leadership team and officials of partner organisations, marking a step in strengthening Sri Lanka’s supply chain industry.
Under the terms of the MoU, ISMM will award institutional membership to Alumex while the company will provide priority access for ISMM students, offering internships and job placements to help them gain hands-on experience in supply chain management within Alumex’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Managing Director of Alumex, Pramuk Dediwela said, “By partnering with ISMM, we are investing in the future of Sri Lanka’s supply chain industry while nurturing the next generation of professionals who will drive innovation and operational efficiency.”
