On May 3, 2025, the Leo Club of SLIIT successfully carried out the third phase of their marine conservation project, Born to Roam, at Parey Wella Beach, Tangalle. This impactful initiative focused on coral replanting and raising awareness on preserving Sri Lanka’s fragile marine ecosystems. With dedicated youth volunteers, the project served as a vital step toward combating coral degradation and protecting coastal biodiversity. The club reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability.

Demonstrating compassion for children battling cancer, the Leo Club of SLIIT successfully held “Seneha – Phase 3” on May 2 at Galkissa Balika Vidyalaya. On May 4, 2025, the Leo Club of SLIIT successfully conducted Feed The Future – Phase 2 at the National Ayurveda Hospital, Rajagiriya. This initiative provided traditional breakfast using heirloom rice varieties for inpatients, continuing their commitment to nourishing lives and preserving local agricultural heritage with compassion and unity.

On May 4, 2025, the Leo Club of SLIIT and Leo Club of Dhaka Elite Juniors successfully launched Project Global Pulse, a cross-border health initiative. Held at Sri Nandarama Pirivena, Mandawala, the project featured an eye screening camp by SLIIT Leos and a diabetes checkup clinic hosted by their Bangladeshi counterparts, promoting global unity through service.

This phase focused on educating the public about lightning and thunderstorm safety, equipping individuals with essential disaster preparedness knowledge. Through direct street-level engagement, the project aimed to build a resilient and informed community — ready for any storm.

Project “Feed the Future” – Phase 3
On Monday, 5th May, from 6.00 AM onwards, in front of the Gampaha Railway Station, the Leo Club of SLIIT carried out the third phase of the Feed The Future initiative.
This phase focused on serving a nutritious breakfast to individuals experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty in the Gampaha area, using locally harvested red rice collected during Phase 1.Together, we extended a hand of compassion — nourishing lives through the spirit of brotherhood.

Project “Hadagasma” – Phase 3
A Hand of Humanity for a Better Tomorrow
On Monday, 5 May, from 3.00 PM onwards, in Kaduwela, the Leo Club of SLIIT extended a heartfelt gesture of compassion through the third phase of Hadhagæsma. This phase focused on supporting a struggling family in the Kaduwela area by empowering their livelihood and uplifting their standard of living.Through this act, we continue to prove that true humanity lies in standing beside those in need.
