Indian celebrities made a striking impact as they graced the prestigious carpet in their fashion-forward finery.
Shah Rukh Khan, making his much-anticipated debut at the event, arrived in an elegant, all-black outfit that exuded charm and regality. Complementing his attire with bold, eye-catching jewelry, he added a touch of drama by carrying a stylish walking stick adorned with a Bengal Tiger motif—a nod to both royalty and swagger.
The spotlight undeniably shone Bollywood,’ superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who made a spectacular debut, marking him as the first-ever Indian male actor to grace the Met Gala. A towering figure in Indian cinema, Khan dazzled on the Met carpet in a refined black suit adorned with gold accessories, a walking cane, a brooch, and a long pendant featuring the letter K – for King Khan. His ensemble was meticulously designed by renowned Indian couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who accompanied Khan on the blue carpet.
Priyanka ‘s stylish ensemble
Meanwhile, Met Gala regular Priyanka Chopra Jonas commanded attention on the blue carpet in a tailored polka dot suit dress, a bespoke creation by Olivier Rousteing of Balmain. Her stunning outfit was elevated by exquisite high jewellery from Bvlgari, the luxury Italian brand for which Chopra serves as a global ambassador. Joined by her husband, singer Nick Jonas, she marked her fifth appearance at the Met.
Ambani’s striking appearance
The Reliance heiress, Isha Ambani wore a three-piece couture outfit. The look featured a halter-style top embroidered with pearls and gold thread in the shape of an infinity symbol, paired with sleek black tailored trousers and a sharply structured white jacket. Designer Khanna’s atelier had spent an estimated 20,000 hours creating the ensemble, which balanced bold structure with ornate detailing.
Isha Ambani made a striking appearance at the Met Gala 2025 in a custom Anamika Khanna ensemble that celebrated Indian craftsmanship while aligning with the event’s “Tailored for You” theme. Her three-piece outfit featured intricate embroidery, a handwoven Benarasi train, and tailored silhouettes, blending tradition with modernity. Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, the look was completed with a historic Cartier necklace.
Isha’s accessories carried historical and cinematic significance. She wore a vintage Cartier necklace from her personal collection that once belonged to the Maharaja of Nawanagar. The necklace, prominently featured in the film Ocean’s 8, includes 89 stones totaling 481.42 carats, including a cushion-cut 80.73-carat diamond. She further adorned her look with a diamond headpiece on her hip, Tiffany & Co. bird rings, and pearl-encrusted bird ornaments in her hair.
The coat she wore also featured diamond buttons trailing down the back, adding a final touch of understated opulence to the ensemble.
Kiara’s black and gold look
Bollywood enthusiasts watching the event’s live stream were thrilled to witness Indian actor Kiara Advani’s debut at the Met Gala. Kiara, a celebrated actress currently expecting her first child, radiated elegance on the Met carpet in a breathtaking black-gold-white ensemble. In a heartfelt nod to motherhood, her black gown, adorned with gold embellishments and a flowing white trail, featured a heart-shaped mini plate for her baby.
