My country is Sri Lanka. It is a small and beautiful island. It’s in the Indian ocean. My country is called the ‘Pearl of the Indian Ocean’.
There are many historical places, mountains, rivers and gardens to visit. Sri Lankans are very kind and friendly.
My country has many endemic animals and flowers. Sri Lanka has a hot climate. Many local and foreign tourists visit our country. They like to see the beauty of my country.
It’s Capital City is Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte. Our national flower is Nil Manel (blue water lily) and national tree is Ceylon ironwood (Na tree). Our national animal is the giant squirrel and national sport is volleyball.
Sri Lanka has 25 districts and 9 provinces. Colombo is Sri Lanka’s main economic city. My country has a proud history.
